"I have fallen ill from the invariable result of not having notes to tune my inner soul and cymbals to give me light" (1). This is what an audiophile from Hellas says, every single day he does not listen to his music. What does High End mean in Hellas some ask? Simply put. Through high precision machines... "The emotional and insatiable bliss of what music reproduction can do for man" (1).
Both of these statements are required to be understood, so that you the reader can get into the groove as to say, and understand what really lies behind the people who have had Gods play music, drink spirits and even feel spiritual.
Speaking on behalf of AcaTalk, I am privileged as honored to be writing this very important article, since it represents the essence of our hobby, and of our very deepest wishes that everyone who visits our forum will leave understanding something more than when they first came.
Our goal is not to boast or enhance our image, but to give Hi End in Hellas the wings to fly to unsheltered areas where no one knows what the end result is, but strives for the best in either case. Our goal is to inform, present and show the rest of the world what we have taken from our forefathers, who first created a stadium which had the best acoustics, still unrivaled in the year we live in, and turn it into the blissful and proprietary overtures, which we, as listeners appreciate.
From the Greek National Opera to the Megaron, the majority of people in Athens, as well as in many other parts of Hellas, can visit and listen to a vast variety of live musical talents, local or world renown.
What do we listen to? Well if what you buy is part of where you buy it from, then please, read an interesting article for Vinyl Record Shops in Hellas.
Most of our High End machines are imported by the most infamous manufacturers and the most expensive I might add, and recently a very highly devoted Do It Yourself group, (DIY) has evolved to experiment even further what others have created or designed, but due to reasons beyond our understanding in quantifiable terms, must take further for our musical sessions to be as idyllic as we need them to be.
So, if one was to be asked, what is the status of Hi End in Hellas, the answer would be again very simple. We engage the music, as we do our life. With warmth, with fire, with hospitality and with nurture. And if sales have anything to do with it, then we surely do have one of the best markets to buy from.
Our future is very common to our past; the Golden age of Hellas is now the Golden Ear of Hellas, through A.C.A.
